Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Gen Image Factory ("the Application") developed by an individual developer under the Shiftline Tools brand.

By using Gen Image Factory, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Application.

Software License Terms​

Individual Developer License​

Gen Image Factory is provided by an individual developer (not a corporate entity) under the Shiftline Tools brand. The Application is licensed, not sold, to you for use in accordance with these Terms.

License Grant & Open Source Disclosure​

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Shiftline Tools grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Download, install, and use Gen Image Factory on your personal devices
  • Use the Application for your personal or commercial purposes
  • Access and use the documentation and support materials

Open Source Note: While this compiled Application is governed by these Terms, the source code for Gen Image Factory is available on GitHub under the MIT License. Use of the source code is governed exclusively by the terms of that license.

License Restrictions​

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the compiled Application (except as permitted by the separate MIT License for the source code)
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
  • Use the Application in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Use the Application to infringe on the rights of others

Usage Restrictions​

Acceptable Use​

You agree to use Gen Image Factory only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Application to generate, process, or distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Application or its services

Content Responsibility​

You are solely responsible for:

  • The content you generate, process, or distribute using Gen Image Factory
  • Ensuring your use of the Application complies with all applicable laws
  • Obtaining necessary rights, licenses, or permissions for any content you create
  • The consequences of using generated content

Liability Disclaimers​

No Warranty​

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF RESULTS

THE INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPER OPERATING UNDER THE SHIFTLINE TOOLS BRAND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • THE APPLICATION WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS
  • THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE
  • THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USING THE APPLICATION WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE
  • ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED

Limitation of Liability​

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SHIFTLINE TOOLS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
  • DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION
  • DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THIRD-PARTY SERVICES OR API FAILURES
  • DAMAGES RESULTING FROM DATA LOSS OR CORRUPTION

IN NO EVENT SHALL SHIFTLINE TOOLS' TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APPLICATION (IF ANY) OR $0 IF THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

Individual Developer Disclaimer​

Important: Gen Image Factory is developed by an individual developer (not a corporate entity) under the Shiftline Tools brand. As an individual developer:

  • Resources and support capabilities are limited
  • No corporate liability protection or insurance coverage
  • Support is provided on a best-effort basis
  • No guarantee of continuous availability or maintenance

Microsoft Store Terms Compliance​

Gen Image Factory complies with Microsoft Store terms and policies:

  • Store Policies: The Application adheres to Microsoft Store policies and certification requirements
  • Distribution: When distributed through Microsoft Store, additional Microsoft Store terms may apply
  • Updates: Updates may be delivered through Microsoft Store update mechanism
  • Certification: The Application has been certified by Microsoft for Store distribution

API Usage Terms​

Gen Image Factory integrates with third-party APIs. Your use of these APIs is subject to their respective terms of service:

Important: You are solely responsible for obtaining valid API keys and for any costs or charges incurred through third-party API usage. Shiftline Tools is not responsible for third-party API availability or data handling.

Intellectual Property Rights​

Application Ownership​

Gen Image Factory, including all software, code, documentation, and materials, is owned by Shiftline Tools and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content​

You retain all rights to content you create, generate, or process using Gen Image Factory. Shiftline Tools does not claim ownership of your images or data.

Individual Ownership Clarification​

Important: Gen Image Factory is developed by an individual developer (not a corporate entity) under the Shiftline Tools brand. Ownership, support, and maintenance are handled personally by the developer with limited resources.

Termination​

You may stop using Gen Image Factory at any time by uninstalling the Application and deleting local data. Shiftline Tools may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms​

Shiftline Tools reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law​

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Shiftline Tools operates.
